That's an interesting connection, Curtis, and the story would support your idea of the outcasts as being like outcasts from Eden. Of course, by analogy that makes the people of Poker Flat act like God and sit in judgment on their fellow men; the Bible has a lot to say about that, too, and none of it is positive.
